Ofsted inspection outcomes this year

It’s been a busy year for Ofsted and Mead schools! Since Christmas, Ofsted teams have visited Kibworth Mead, Abbey Mead, North Mead, Brook Mead and Kestrel Mead. In the autumn term Castle Mead, Rowlatts Mead and Willowbrook Mead had inspection visits – that’s eight of our 13 schools.

We’ve been pleased by the inspectors’ feedback and comments, which was fair and accurate. Inspectors recognised the calm and mature behaviour of pupils, the commitment and hard work of the staff, the great practice happening in classrooms, and the expertise and leadership from the Trust. Here are a selection of the comments>

North Mead is a joyful and aspirational primary school.”

“Pupils love attending Abbey Mead Primary Academy. They really appreciate the phenomenal education that this wonderful school provides them.”

Castle Mead Academy is an exceptional school. There is a ‘can-do’ culture where staff ensure that pupils take a full and active part in school life.”

Brook Mead Academy provides an exceptional quality of education. Staff are unashamedly ambitious for pupils. There is absolute determination that pupils will excel.”

“Leaders have a clear and ambitious vision for (Kibworth Mead) and are determined that pupils will succeed here. They promote the school’s values of ‘work hard, be kind, be proud’.”

“Pupils are very happy to attend Rowlatts Mead Primary Academy. They display very positive attitudes to all aspects of school life.”

“Staff go the extra mile for the pupils at Willowbrook. Their top priority is to make all pupils feel welcome and at ease.”
